Featured Saturday June 3 will be an opening reception of works by Silas Coggeshall at “The Lobby at Edison”. This is an exhibition in partnership with ArtVillage Artist-in-Residence program of Fairview Heights Illinois. It is curated by Six Mile SculptureWorks Artists-in-Residence Bo Schmidt and Kale Day. The exhibition will be on display at the Edison Avenue Arts Lofts as part of an emerging relationship between arts organizations in the Metro East.

Silas Coggeshall’s practice is a synthesis of painting, sculpture, and installation. His work both adopts and plays with the cannon of art history by extending thrown away, mundane objects outside of the two-dimensional picture plane and into the viewer’s three-dimensional space.
